To further strengthen its global engineering organization, our client is seeking an experienced Global Head of Software who will define and drive the worldwide software strategy for next-generation machinery and automation platforms.

• Define and execute the global software strategy and architecture for next-generation machinery and automation systems
• Lead and develop a globally distributed software engineering organization across multiple international sites
• Drive the transition toward modern software engineering practices, including modular architectures, CI/CD pipelines and scalable development platforms
• Implement AI and GenAI capabilities to enhance engineering productivity and intelligent machine functionality
• Ensure excellence in software lifecycle management, system integration and validation processes
• Collaborate closely with R&D, system architecture, product management and operations across the global organization

• In this global leadership role, you will shape the software architecture and engineering strategy for advanced automation and machinery solutions while leading internationally distributed software teams.
• You will play a key role in the transformation toward modern software platforms, AI-enabled engineering, and scalable software architectures across the global R&D organization.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
• Proven experience in leading global software engineering organizations and defining software strategies for complex technology platforms
• Strong expertise in scalable software architectures, ideally within machinery, automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing environments
